Telephone advice
Many health problems can be dealt
with by telephone and a telephone
consultation can be arranged by
speaking to the receptionists.
Messages left for a GP will be dealt
with outside of consulting time. If the
message is urgent the receptionist will
interrupt the GP’s consultation.
Messages left for the Practice Nurse
are entered on to the computer
message screen for the nurses to see
when they are between patient
appointments. Urgent messages are
telephoned to the nurse immediately.
